For the Brownie Layer
In a separate bowl, melt the chocolate and butter (in the microwave or on the stove). Whisk in the sugar, then the vanilla and the eggs (one at a time). Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, and mix into the chocolate mixture just until combined.
To Assemble
Pour 3⁄4 of the brownie mixture into the prepared pan and spread to the corners. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the brownie mixture, leaving a little space in between and pushing down slightly. Spoon dollops of the remaining brownie mixture amongst the spoonfuls of peanut butter mixture. Swirl together using a butter knife.
If you like, sprinkle a few extra chocolate chunks over the top.
Bake for about 40 minutes or until a tester comes out with only a few moist crumbs on it.
